"Your daughter will hold your heart for a little while but she will hold your Heart for a lifetime." On December 24th we celebrated Aaliyah's 15th Birthday. I can't believe my baby is a teenager. Well in the morning we sang happy birthday, opened presents and ate cake. That evening we went to One Up for dinner and to play video games. I had a hamburger on a doughnut and although this sounds weird it was really good. After dinner we headed to Zoolights but it was too cold so we decided to try and come when it was a little warmer. Well Miss Aaliyah I hope you had a wonderful birthday and I wish Daddy was hear to see how much his baby girl has grown and how beautiful she is. Love you sweet pea!

Introducing the Young Family
I have always wanted to be a writer and I am a scrapbook fanatic so I decided I would start a blog. That's one way to force myself to write every day. One day before I die I plan to write a novel. Until then this blog will have to do. Nothing much is going on in my life right now. Just work and taking Aaliyah to school and to the mall and over to a friends house. You get the picture. I am Aaliyah's official chauffer. Okay since going to school to be a court reporter my spelling also stinks. Anyway just wanted to say hello and let you know what is going on in my life right now. Take care and God Bless! Mama Young

Merry Christmas 2011
This year I decided it was time for us to do a family portrait. The last time we took pictures I decided not to be in the photos because I didn't like the way I looked. This year I decided although I have gained some weight I didn't care. I was going to embrace the moment and enjoy the photo session with my children. I think the pictures are beautiful. What do you think?

My Friend Sandra
Sandra and I have been friends for over 25 years. I met her at Northeastern University when we were taking classes to get a paralegal certificate and we have been friends ever since. People in our class thought we knew each other for years when in reality we had just met. She has been there for me through thick and thin and is more like a sister than a friend. Like Anne of Green Gables said about her friend Diana she is my kindred spirit. I couldn't have a things and people I love page without putting her on it. To my dear friend Sandra I love you and thank God for bringing you into my life.
