The Road Not Taken By Robert Frost
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth; 5
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
This was my husband's favorite poem and funny because it describes him so perfectly. He did take the road less travelled and because of it he made a difference in so many people's lives. It is so hard for me to even to describe to someone how amazing he was. He was amazing. How to explain to people who have never met him what he was like is difficult. He had the most amazing smile I have ever seen. I call it a million dollar smile. Aaliyah has that same smile. He had the most beautiful 1st Tenor voice I have ever heard. If I close my eyes now I can hear him singing "It's a Gift to Be Simple" in chapel at All Saint's with his students. He was so intelligent it was scary. We he graduated from Governor Dummer Academy now the Governor's Academy he was awarded the highest honor the Morse Flag. He sat on many boards like the Desert Botanical Gardens, Phoenix Country Day School, Secondary School Admission Testing Board, Brookwood School, Black Board of Directors Project, and the National Association of Episcopal Schools. He was a Gamma Mu Boule.
He was my husband for 27 years. He took care of me like no one else. He did all the cooking, he paid the bills, he got me everything I wanted on my long christmas list. Lol! He was a gentleman. When we were dating he pursued me relentlessly. He loved me passionately like no one else has. He was the best father ever. He loved his children and made sure they got whatever they needed. Eddie and Kristina attended the best private schools. St Mark's School of Texas, Hockaday, Brookwood, The Governor's Academy, and Phoenix Country Day School. Aaliyah attended Desert View and All Saint's. Eddie and Kristina both attended Pomona College and were able to study abroad their junior year's. Eddie went to Edinburgh, Scotland and Kristina to Athens, Greece. Ballet lessons, music lessons, ice skating, whatever they wanted to do he made sure they did it.
Life has not been the same since you left. If I could just see you one more time and tell how much I appreciate everything you did for our family I would be so happy. I just pray that you are in heaven looking down on us and that you are cheering us on waiting anxiously for the day when we are all reunited. Love you Papa Bear. Your wife

Introducing the Young Family
I have always wanted to be a writer and I am a scrapbook fanatic so I decided I would start a blog. That's one way to force myself to write every day. One day before I die I plan to write a novel. Until then this blog will have to do. Nothing much is going on in my life right now. Just work and taking Aaliyah to school and to the mall and over to a friends house. You get the picture. I am Aaliyah's official chauffer. Okay since going to school to be a court reporter my spelling also stinks. Anyway just wanted to say hello and let you know what is going on in my life right now. Take care and God Bless! Mama Young
